does Cathy Howse’s Ultra black Hair growth system work?

People who have actually gone though the process please respond

I haven’t gone through her process but what she says is her book, is what I do anyway. Except she doesn’t believe in getting ends trimmed, which is important to keep hair healthy. I don’t think there is a special process needed to keep hair healthy.

How do I promote hair growth?

How can I promote hair growth. I'm black and that usually means that my hair won't grow very long but I was wondering if there's a way to help it grow longer with or ,preferrably, without products

Make sure your protein intake is your daily allowance (for age, weight, and activity level) - no less than 90 g daily. Get it from healthy sources like lean meats, grilled chicken and fish. Also get your "good fats" from food sources like almonds, salmon and avocado (if you like them).

You mentioned preferably no products, and a good diet (minus alot of empty calories: sugar and processed foods) start within - what you eat. Your hair will grow faster and be healthier.

I also highly suggest scalp massage (daily), using the pads of your fingertips, not your nails. Use a product (not expensive) such as DOO GRO® Stimulating Growth Oil or Nioxin's Follicle Booster. Just a few drops and gently massage into your scalp all over for about 2-3 minutes.

Believe me — it makes a BIG difference in accelerated hair growth , regardless of one's race or ethnicity.

Getting and Keeping Healthy Black Hair

Black Hairstyles have increased in beauty, design and diversity. New black hair products help black hair maintain strength and moisture. Long, short, natural hairstyles have truly highlighted the diversity of black hairstyles with increased functionality and beauty.

Black/African Americans hairstyles have become more diverse from natural to weaves and extensions to twist and cornrows, diversity in hairstyles are on the rise. For those of you with shorter hair, the same techniques used for long hair apply equally to short hair as well. Smoothing has become less damaging thanks to products containing Jojoba Oil. Mineral oil, used for years to clean and moisturize, is damaging to hair follicles. Jojoba oil has made intense styling safer without as much risk of breakage.

Jojoba oil has now taken its rightful place as a replacement for mineral oil. Often used to aid in styling, cleansing or to add hydration, mineral oil leads to damaged follicles and thinning. Jojoba oil naturally deep cleans and hydrates and leaves hair stronger while effectively removing dirt and product build-up that often lead to flakes and flaking. Though used as an active ingredient in many hair products to increase cleansing, it is often combined with other "actives" such as Panthenol or Trichogen to soothe the scalp or increase hair growth.

If you have African American hair, remember that your hair needs moisture. Do not let anyone tell you different. By switching to higher quality products, your hair won’t be greasy, it actually will be moisturized. Here are some good rules of thumb to stick with when making your next purchase:
All-natural products are superior
Look at ingredients, if the product contains parabens, which can lead to cancer, Just Say No.
Price does not make the product. Always look for quality ingredients like Shea, Jojoba, Oil, Sunflower, Castor, etc?
Do not over process your hair with excess heat, straightening combs, and super hot blow dryers.

Black hairstyles are beautiful and luxurious - and maintaining proper health and strength has enabled straightening, relaxing and perming to accelerate beautiful styles without damage and breaking.

How to really deep condition my hair without fading black dye to green?

I read somewhere to wear a showercap and let the moisture "work". Here is my problem: I have very short, damaged hair. To make this short, I dyed my hair pink. It was jet black before, so the process of getting it pink completely fried my hair. Unfortunately I did the most stupid thing and put a perm in my hair with in less than a month. . . So my hair fell out —not completely —but it was like being in a horror film as I watched chunks of strands of pink and blonde hair slide down my bathroom sink. I seriously looked liked Davey Havok from AFI (but very bad) . If you don't know who he is, google his image —very 80's. Anyway, I used Wild Growth hair Oil for about two months and my hair has grown about 1 1-2 inches. I dyed my hair black so that it all blends together but it's just dry and fluffy and brittle. I don't want to keep putting a lot of gel and grease on my hair everyday to make it managable. If I wash it the black dye will fade to green, and my hair will get worse. HELP!
What I basically want to know if there is anyway of making my hair a little more soft and managable without washing it just yet (because I already have). I'm starting my job in a few days and I don't want to have fluffy hair. When i put it back it makes me look a boy with a very bad fro (my hair is kind of wavey and straight, and fluffy. . .I don't know whats going on).

You need to go to a professional. There is no advice that anyone can give you that would be valuable. You will need to most likely have a haircut , not a trim a HAIRCUT, so prepare yourself for that. Your hair is fried.

My suggestion is to cut your hair leaving only the 1 1/2 inches of new growth and maybe a few more inches. Since this hair is healthy you can apply a relaxer.

I love having short hair. If you want color go with rinses, they don't damage your hair. If you desire having long hair you can always go with a half wig or a weave.
